Welcome to Woodworking DIY. These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the website located at woodworkingdiy.com (the “Site”). By accessing or using the Site, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of them, please do not use the Site.
1. Use of the Site
You may browse the Site, read our content, and buy our products for lawful purposes. You agree not to use the Site in any way that could damage, disable, or impair it, or interfere with any other party’s use of it. You must not attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Site, its servers, or any connected systems.
You also agree not to scrape, crawl, or systematically download our content, republish it elsewhere, or use it to train machine learning models, without our prior written permission.
Anything you buy from us is governed by the licence that accompanies it, and by section 9 below. Broadly: you may use our patterns for your own projects and sell the physical items you make from them, but you may not redistribute the files themselves.
2. Intellectual property
All content on the Site, including text, graphics, logos, images, and the overall design, is the property of Woodworking DIY or its content suppliers and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may view and share links to our content, but you may not copy, reproduce, republish, or distribute it without our prior written permission.
3. Affiliate relationships
The Site participates in affiliate programs. This means we may earn a commission when you click certain links and make a purchase, at no additional cost to you. Our participation in these programs does not affect the price you pay. For more detail, please read our Disclaimer.
4. Third-party links
The Site contains links to third-party websites and products that are not owned or controlled by Woodworking DIY. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites. Once you leave the Site, these Terms no longer apply, and we encourage you to review the terms and policies of any site you visit.
5. No professional advice
The content on the Site is provided for general informational and educational purposes only. Woodworking involves the use of tools and materials that can cause injury. You are responsible for your own safety and for following all applicable safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. Woodworking DIY is not liable for any injury, loss, or damage resulting from your use of information found on the Site.
6. Limitation of liability
The Site and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Woodworking DIY will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising out of your use of, or inability to use, the Site.
7. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Your continued use of the Site after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
8. Newsletter and email communications
Our email newsletter is entirely optional. You receive emails from us only if you choose to subscribe, and you can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send. By subscribing, you agree to receive newsletters, updates, and occasional product recommendations that may contain affiliate links. How we collect, use, and protect your subscriber information is described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Digital products, payment and refunds
We sell digital products, such as downloadable pattern packs. The following terms apply to any purchase you make through the Site.
Payment and tax
Payment is taken through Stripe. We use Stripe Managed Payments, which means Stripe acts as the merchant of record for the sale: Stripe is the seller named on your card statement, and Stripe determines, collects and remits any sales tax, VAT or GST that applies where you are. Prices shown on the Site are in pounds sterling unless stated otherwise. We never receive or store your card details.
Delivery
Delivery is immediate and digital. After payment you are taken to a download page, and you may also receive the download by email. Nothing is posted to you. It is your responsibility to download and keep a copy of the files. If you lose them, contact us and we will send them again.
Licence
A purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the files yourself. You may print, adapt and use the patterns for your own projects, and you have full commercial rights to the physical items you make from them, including selling those finished items. You may not resell, share, redistribute or give away the files themselves, in original or altered form. Full terms accompany your download.
Refunds
We offer a thirty day, no questions asked money back guarantee. If a product is not right for you, email us at admin@woodworkingdiy.com within thirty days of your purchase and we will refund the full amount. You do not need to give a reason, and you may keep the files, since a download cannot meaningfully be returned.
Refunds are issued through Stripe to the original payment method and normally reach you within five to ten business days, depending on your bank.
This guarantee is offered in addition to any statutory rights you may have. If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU, you may have a separate right to cancel a purchase of digital content. That right is normally lost once you download the files and confirm you understand this, but our thirty day guarantee applies regardless, so you are never worse off.
We may decline a refund where there is clear evidence of abuse, such as repeated purchase and refund of the same product, or redistribution of the files.
